Hello, my name is Alia Motwani. Welcome to my site – I’m excited that you are here to see my creativity! Here you will get to read some of my poems, stories and see the artwork that I have created over the past couple of years.

I started writing poems during the pandemic because that was when I learned about the different formats in poetry like Sonnets, Acrostic, Haiku, etc. Writing poems was a good way to pass time, especially when there was not a lot to go outside and do. Plus, it kept my mind busy. My poems are inspired by things that I like to see or do, and also things that come to my imagination.

I love to do art because it gives me time to think about what to create and how I should create it. When I complete the project like a complex drawing, painting or even a poem that is hard to rhyme – I feel that I can do anything if I truly believe in myself.

When you read my poems or see my paintings and you like them, leave me a comment and tell me what you like about it or leave me a suggestion on what you would like to see me paint or write about next. This will not only inspire me but will also give me ideas on what to work on in the future.

Other than writing and painting, I also like reading. My favorite author is Kelly Yang, and her series because the girl in her books reminds me of myself – she is around my age and a lot of things that she does in her stories are things I have done before or would like to do in the future.

I also like to learn to create videos when I can. If you have some time, check out my YouTube channel and leave me a comment on the video that you liked the most. It is a lot of work to make a video and then edit it with all of the effects, but it is a lot of fun to see the final version. You should try it too when you get a chance.
